Dosage and Administration
For animals weighing up to 12 kg: Mix one sachet daily with food, milk, or drinking water (at room temperature).

Mechanism of action
Companion dogs and cats often suffer from digestive disorders due to a variety of reasons, such as poor diet, digestive enzyme deficiencies, infections, or breed-specific allergies. Recent studies show that modifying the gut microbiome in favor of beneficial microorganisms in a dog’s diet can reduce stress and anxiety and improve animal behavior, in addition to enhancing digestive function and immunity.
Probiotics, as defined by the WHO, are “live microorganisms which, when administered in adequate amounts, confer a health benefit on the host.”
Prebiotics are indigestible food ingredients, primarily polysaccharides, that provide benefits for their host by stimulating bacterial activity. According to Gibson et al. (2004), “a prebiotic is a selectively fermented substance that induces specific changes in the composition or activity of the gastrointestinal microflora of the host, which confer benefits to the host’s health and well-being”. Dietary supplements that simultaneously contain both probiotics and prebiotics are generally referred to as synbiotics.
As a synbiotic supplement, PetBioTak contains various beneficial and non-pathogenic bacteria specifically formulated and designed for use in dogs and cats. Consumption of this supplement supports a healthier microbial population and gut microbiota, helping to prevent the colonization and proliferation of pathogenic bacteria in the intestines and contributing to a reduced incidence of gastrointestinal disorders such as indigestion (including loss of appetite, constipation, bloating, and diarrhea), as well as a decrease in unpleasant odors from feces and the mouth. Moreover, numerous studies have shown a direct correlation between improved gastrointestinal health and enhanced immune response in animals, which in turn lowers the risk of various diseases. The prebiotic component included in this formulation supports the probiotic part through synergism, thereby enhancing the overall efficacy of the product.
